A Safe & Neutral Environment for Children & Their Parents An outreach program that provides a safe and neutral environment for supervised visitation and/or exchange of children between custodial and non custodial parents. Intake Process Both Parents (at separate times) must meet with an Intake Specialist for the purpose of introduction to the policies regarding the program. We encourage the parent to have the child(ren) accompany them in order to meet the specialist and check out the surroundings. Following the completion of the intake, a schedule can be set for the supervised visitations or parental exchanges of the child(ren). The Exchange The parent who drops off the child(ren) will arrive with the child(ren) before the parent who picks up the child(ren). A window of time between parents is established to allow each parent to arrive and depart safely and free of conflict with the other parent. Each parent will check in/out the child(ren) and show ID. Fee $10.00 per exchange. Supervised Visitations The custodial parent arrives up to 30 minutes before a scheduled visitation. A qualified supervisor is with the child(ren) at all times. When the non custodial parent arrives the child(ren) and parent spend time together while the supervisor observes and documents their interactions. Fees are $32.00 for the first hour of visitation, $28.00 for the second hour of visitation, and $25.00 for the third hour of visitation and any additional hours beyond the first three hours. Additionally, there is a fee of $5.00 per child per hour after the first three (3) children. Written Reports Written reports remain confidential and are not released unless requested by an attorney of record or any referring agency. Qualified Supervisors All staff have been specially trained and have been through a state criminal background check. In addition, The Interchange has strict personnel policies by which all staff must abide. |
