The mission of Washington State’s BFET Program (Basic Food Employment & Training) is to assist Basic Food recipients who are not already on TANF’s WorkFirst program to find a job. Fulcrum provides case management, job skills training, education classes, job search assistance, application & resume writing, and support in addressing barriers to finding and maintaining a job.
If you are interested in becoming a BFET program client you will need to call and schedule an intake appointment. New BFET clients will meet with a case manager for an intake, which will consist of information about the program and process. The case manager will assess a client’s strengths and interests to find a target career field that will best fit with the client. They will also help to identify and address any barriers the client is experiencing in finding and keeping a job.
